On Monday the 3rd October, 2011 I joined my precious friend, Sonja van Rhyn, who contracted MSA a year ago, on a walk to raise awareness for the devastating disease called MSA (Multiple System Atrophy).  It is a neurodegenerative disease marked by a combination of symptoms affecting movement, blood pressure, and other body functions. It is a rare condition that causes symptoms similar to Parkinson’s Disease.  This disease affects 5 in 100,000.

I took a video of the walk and number of photographs and would just like to share some of the photographs here with you!

To Sonja, may you continue to find the strength to fight this disease as best as you can. You are an extremely brave person who deserves all the support she can get and we love you very much!

Please visit Sonja’s Blog for some very interesting reading on her journey with her disease!
